Ultrasound array imaging in air

Ultrasound in air.

Ultrasound imaging and range detection has been used in many applications, such as medical imaging, robotics, underwater sonar, parking sensors, etc… Dr Harput has developed an ultrasonic phased array prototype device to provide mobility aid for visually impaired people. To perform imaging, a transmit array and a receive array were constructed using commercially available ultrasonic transducers.

Aim: Develop a new ultrasound imaging method in air for an application of your choice. You can benefit from the existing research expertise within the group.
